Biostatistician (Heart Failure)
Join the NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia University and Weill Cornell Heart Failure Research Institute team as a Biostatistician! Launched in 2024, the Heart Failure Research Institute is advancing the understanding, prevention and treatment of heart failure.
Partner with researchers on statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standards to advance medical knowledge. Develop statistical analysis plans and provide guidance on study design, statistical analysis strategies and data collection methods. Connect with stakeholders to outline project scope and provide project timeline. Meet with our leadership team to share updates and prioritize project requests. Use a variety of advanced statistical software to conduct advanced statistical analyses using the appropriate methodologies to extract meaningful insights from data sets.
Together we will work on improving the quality of life for people with heart failure.
Preferred Criteria
- Master's Degree or PhD in biostatistics
- Proven experience in applying statistical methods to successful research projects and publications, cardiovascular studies preferred
- Advanced level of experience in SAS, R, SPSS or similar application
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Required Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics or related field
